The junior bantam New Westminster Hyacks tied Langley 8-8 on Sept. 16 at Mercer Stadium in a game pitting two of the top teams in the Lower Mainland.

Hyack Matthew Thind had a strong game on defense and scored the Hyacks' lone touchdown while Trew Dancey lead the Hyacks in rushing.

Defensive lineman Hendrick Nguyen led the defence with two quarterback sacks.
