Simon Fraser University's club hockey team has brought former B.C. Hockey League head coach Dave McLellan on board.

McLellan, who was let go by the former junior A Burnaby Express at the end of last season, has five years of BCHL experience under his belt, including a Canadian junior hockey championship title in 2006 as an assistant coach with the club under head coach Rick Lanz.

McLellan saw his first action behind the SFU bench against his former team, the now Coquitlam Express, in an exhibtion game played Friday (after The Record deadlines).
