Sardis neighbourhood, downtown see rash of B&Es and property thefts

Mounties say Chilliwack's downtown core, and a Sardis neighbourhood comprise the city's most recent crime hot spots.

The downtown core saw 16 property crimes between July 9 and 22. Those included two business break-and-enters, two residential break-and-enters, six car thefts and six thefts from cars.

In Sardis, a block of residential properties just north of Watson Road and east of Tyson Road experienced one residential break-and-enter and five thefts from vehicles in that time.
