It was close encounters of the canine kind at Queen's Park on Sunday as Royal City dog lovers came together for the 11th annual Doggy Fun Day.

Record photographer Jason Lang was on hand to capture all the action.

Clockwise from top: Joyce Johnstone and Twinkle Toes strut their stuff; Rob and Catherine Taylor with Lou-Lou in the three-legged race, Esther Ostrower and Simba make their way through an agility course; Kathy Pander and Sammy in an agility demonstration.

The day included a variety of demonstrations, displays, games and contests for canines and their human companions, as well as performances by the Royal City Rockets dog agility team.
