VOLUNTEERING
S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is recruiting volunteers for its Income Tax Clinic Program, to assist low-income S.U.C.C.E.S.S. members in preparing income tax returns in March and April. A series of trainings will be provided by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and/or the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) at Surrey office in February and March. Volunteers are required to speak/read/write fluent English; second language of Arabic or Korean is preferred. Contact Becky Ip at 604-588-6869.
Fraser Health Crisis Line is recruiting volunteers to provide assistance to people in the region who are experiencing emotional distress. No previous experience is needed as extensive training and ongoing support is provided. To get involved, visit www.options.bc.ca and follow link for Crisis Line.
