On Sunday, January 30, 2011, the Hyack Festival Association and Hyack Ambassador Committee invited everyone to the President's Tea at the Old Bavaria Haus in honour of Hyack's 40th President, Rick Molstad and his First Lady, Laurie.

The President's Tea is one of five judged events for this year's Miss New Westminster Ambassador candidates and just the start of many more events they will attend to represent the Hyack Festival Association and the City of New Westminster.

The 1st half of the Hyack Miss New Westminster pageant will be held at Centre Court in the Royal City Centre on Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Admission is free. Everyone is invited to cast his or her ballot for the People's Choice Award. The finale of the pageant and crowning of Miss New Westminster will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 7:00 pm at Orlando's in the Rivermarket, a new restaurant soon to open.
