Delta council gave preliminary approval last week to a proposed multi-family residential complex on Ladner Trunk Road.

The proposed four-storey, 30-unit apartment building would replace a pair on restaurants at 5571 Ladner Trunk Rd.

Civic politicians gave the proposed development preliminary approval after the project got the green light from Delta's advisory design panel.

The proposal - which requires an amendment to the official community plan, rezoning of the site as well as a development variance permit - will now go to a public hearing before being sent back to council to consider final approval.
